“Never stop learning” – that is the Swiss School of Business and Management Geneva (SSBM Geneva) slogan branded on every student’s heart. Ranked #69 according to CEOWORLD Magazine, this innovative and leading business and management school is a place of continuous growth and development.
Here, students never stop asking questions, seeking new perspectives, challenging themselves, exploring new fields, pushing their limits, seeking out mentors, learning from their mistakes and pursuing knowledge. Instead, every day here is a chance to unlock new opportunities, broaden horizons, grow, discover passions, realise greater limits, receive valuable guidance and support, and absorb useful lessons. For many students, an education here is the ultimate investment in themselves.
Ask graduates of its bachelor’s programmes here and they’ll say this is due to how deeply Swiss yet international their SSBM Geneva education and experience are. According to the IMD World Competitiveness Ranking, Switzerland is amongst the top three most competitive countries in the world and ranks first for government efficiency and infrastructure (a category that includes education). SSBM Geneva’s undergraduate programmes epitomise this same excellence.
Wide yet balanced, they cover the knowledge and skills that are required to work for businesses of all sizes. They span a broad spectrum of relevant topics such as corporate finance, global business environment, leadership, marketing and communications, supply chain management, and strategy.
Online bachelor’s programmes that balance personal, professional, and educational commitments
SSBM Geneva’s bachelor’s programmes are as flexible as they’re comprehensive. This was important for Tilda Svedberg, a Bachelor of Business Administration graduate. For her, flexibility is a necessity, not a luxury. “Flexibility is very important to me. SSBM Geneva allowed me to access all courses and online materials for me to start and finish whenever suited me,” she says. “Thanks to SSBM Geneva, I’ve been able to work and travel during my studies.”
SSBM Geneva’s online bachelor’s programmes seamlessly blend prerecorded lectures and live sessions. Class activities like quizzes, readings, and assignments are recorded in advance. You can access them on your own time, while Q&A sessions, guest lectures, and one-to-one sessions are done in real-time. This hybrid approach allows you to pace yourself and work your programme around your personal and professional lives.
There are six online bachelor’s degree programmes: BSc in Business Administration, BSc in International Management, BSc in Information Technology, BSc in Business IT, BA in Business Adminsitration, and BSc in Sports Management. These virtual programmes use the world-class learning platform used by Harvard and MIT, ensuring zero compromise on quality while providing flexibility to those who can’t physically be on campus. For example, the SSBM Online Learning Portal makes all reading materials accessible — you can download notes for each module and save your current learning status and continue whenever you like. Through the online platform SSBM Connect, you can socialise, engage and communicate with current students, alumni, professors and industry partners.
“The communication with the student advisor has been incredibly supportive with everything on the way,” says Svedberg. “Online studies require a great amount of self-discipline and time management — this is something I will have use for in my career.”
Whether they’re on campus or online, SSBM Geneva faculty members always go above and beyond. “Our distinguished faculty members, true experts in their respective fields, have always been the cornerstone of our institution,” says Prof. Dr. Leif Erik Wollenweber, President of SSBM Geneva. “They deliver a curriculum that is both rigorous and engaging, ensuring that our students are not only prepared for their chosen careers but also equipped to lead and excel in an ever-evolving global landscape.”

If you want to live and learn within Geneva Business Centre, a professional work environment with focused services and within walking distance of shopping centres, hotels, banks, restaurants and a sports centre, you can apply for the on-campus Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Business Administration. Spanning three years, this programme focuses on three key areas important to the field: innovation and disruption, leadership, and management.
“The BBA programme includes a comprehensive amount of courses in various fields, such as Business Strategy, Change Management and Entrepreneurship. All courses require critical thinking and discussing potential solutions,” says Svedberg. “This has given me a good understanding of the world of business.”
After building a deep understanding of the fundamental concepts, theories, and principles, you can choose to specialise in either International Business, Creative Business Management, or Business IT. Whichever you choose, you’ll get a solid preparation for managerial positions in a variety of creative organisations and industries.
