At first glance, WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management’s , set within a UNESCO World Heritage Site and surrounded by historic towns, ancient castles, and vineyard-covered hills, feels like a place where a fairytale could begin. But step inside, and a different kind of magic unfolds. “As one of the best business schools in Germany and Europe, WHU is a special place to study, teach, conduct research, work, or develop your own business idea,” says Professor Christian Andres, Dean of WHU.
WHU has built its reputation on one idea: “Excellence in Management Education.” With its forward-thinking programmes, rigorous research, and emphasis on real-world knowledge, the school has become a model for what modern business education should be.
“I had visited other business schools but felt like something was missing from each,” says David Gazarian, a graduate of the Bachelor in International Business Administration programme. “At the WHU Schnuppertag, I was instantly captivated by the unique WHU spirit and while walking around campus I could see it in action: in the way students interacted with each other, how they collaborated creatively in the study rooms and how helpful all the staff was. I immediately felt at home and knew I wanted to study at WHU, so I began my application the following week.”

A truly international approach to business education
Whether you’re curious about innovation, sustainability, data analysis, or intercultural competence, the three-year Bachelor in International Business Administration lets you explore them all. From core courses like Introduction to Business Administration to electives run by experts in the field, the programme’s practical approach packs every semester with creative projects and great discussions in small, supportive classes.
And because business is global, the programme is too. You will complete an internship and spend a semester abroad at one of WHU’s 220 partner universities in 44 countries, stretching from Australia all the way to Uruguay. These international adventures grow your intercultural and language skills as you make friends around the world.
“During my semester abroad, I had the opportunity to expand my international network, establish new friendships, and have extraordinary experiences. Thanks to WHU’s many partner universities, students can find the perfect place for our stay anywhere in the world,” says graduate Clara Breitenreiter. And the exchange goes both ways — each semester, WHU welcomes around 150 international students, so you’re part of a global community even while on campus.

A community for life
Wondering how you’ll get to know the people who’ll make your WHU experience unforgettable? At WHU, making friends is easy. The campus is full of student clubs, covering sports, theatre, music, and entrepreneurship. “The internships, student initiatives, and conferences were a great way for me to figure out what I enjoy doing and in which fields I could imagine pursuing a career,” says graduate Josephine Allolio.
When you’re ready to think about your future, WHU’s award-winning Career Center has your back. It hosts three major career fairs each year, organises company presentations and workshops, offers one-on-one CV and interview coaching, and more. You’ll be fully prepared to take the next step in your career; many graduates go on to work for major global employers, including Fortune 500 companies.
And the connections you make at WHU don’t end when your studies do. The WHU Entrepreneurship Center, Germany’s most active entrepreneurial network, is where entrepreneurs, investors, student initiatives, and faculties join forces to shape innovative solutions for today’s challenges.
Through In Praxi, the WHU Alumni Association, you will join a lifelong network of more than 7,500 people. “The student-alumni network and the support of the Career Center act as a platform to discuss these different possible pathways and as an opportunity to learn from the experiences of others,” Allolio shares. “While the WHU is ideal to prepare you for your further academic and professional development, I also found it to be a place where there is an avid student life, you feel at home, and lifelong friendships are made.”
