UK-bound int’l students — here’s how you can save up to £5,000 on accommodation expenses

University Living is offering international students scholarships that will cover part of their accommodation expenses. 

The student housing platform’s “Social Scholarships” have a value of up to 5,000 pounds. It applies to students of any nationality if they apply to study at universities in Birmingham, London, Liverpool, Coventry, Leicester or Sheffield.

Its website notes, “This scholarship will reward students globally for being socially conscious and creating an impact on society. We believe minds that are attuned to doing good should be encouraged and rewarded.”

The Social Scholarships are worth up to £5,000 in London and £1,000 in Birmingham, Coventry, Liverpool, Leicester or Sheffield. Up to three students stand a chance to win a Social Scholarship for London, valued at £1,000, £1,500 and £5,000 respectively.

University Living’s scholarships: How to apply

To apply for the scholarship, students must:

  • Fill up a form according to the city students are studying in, and book an accommodation with University Living (valid for any accommodation based on the list of eligible cities)
  • Record a video about their social impact efforts
  • Upload it on Instagram and tag University Living at @uni.living 

The deadline for submission falls on July 31, 2022. The scholarships are valid for the September 2022/fall intake.

University Living was incepted in 2015. The platform helps students worldwide find suitable and secure accommodation near their university campuses.
