Taking place in the university’s Västerås Castle, the Chamber Music Programme calls to aspiring classical musicians and opera singers who want to learn under the tutelage of the country’s foremost music coaches. Their extensive international experience as musicians and teachers will develop you into a musician with one of the four specialisations available: string, wind, keyboard instruments, or vocal ranges. Between the individual teaching, concert and performance opportunities, specially designed facilities, and free-of-charge entrance to selected dress rehearsals of prominent orchestras, you’ll hone your artistic abilities to the finest for varied professions in orchestras worldwide.
The Analytical Finance programme is where prominent experts in financial mathematics are made. Those interested in a leadership position in the global business world can find their ideal programme in the International Business Management (IBM) bachelor’s programme. You’ll develop your skills in entrepreneurship, leadership, and intercultural competence and build a global network between the business administration focus, specialisation in international management, and the opportunity to participate in an exchange programme abroad. The bachelor’s IBM isn’t MDU’s only programme to have an EFMD accreditation – the master’s programme in International Marketing was granted its third reaccreditation in late 2023.
“This is a great recognition that our programmes are considered to have a high international standard,” says Thomas Wahl, Dean of the School for Business, Society and Engineering at MDU. “This result requires a collective commitment and a quality-driving culture throughout the organisation, and we now have further proof that we have achieved this.”
The programme highlights international marketing management and strategies in different markets, offering research-based knowledge and practice-related understanding of distinct business contexts. Seminars, workshops, simulations, and projects will prepare your entry into a multinational and multicultural business setting that requires incorporating digitalisation, sustainability, and responsible business logic.
Still within the business and marketing sphere, the master’s programme in Global Strategy and Management provides an advanced-level education in global business administration.
