Japan to raise cap on daily arrivals to 7,000 people a day from March 14

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida announced in a news conference today that his government would raise the daily entry cap to 7,000 from the current 5,000 starting March 14, 2022. Priority will be given to students, said reports.

Japan recently raised the cap on entrants from 3,500 to 5,000 people a day on March 1, 2022
