University of Salford: Inspiring, inclusive, and industry-focused

The confidence and know-how to succeed in a competitive world – that’s what a master’s degree at the University of Salford promises. Since 1967, the University has nurtured talents for industry, commerce, academia, and healthcare, and it has continuously empowered its students to transform the everyday lives of people in Salford and beyond.

The location  plays a big role. Salford is situated in Greater Manchester, just two kilometres  from the city centre. There’s plenty to be inspired by here – a legacy of music, art, and culture, an enviable food scene, and world-class sports clubs , all within some of the finest green spaces in the country. The diverse community welcomes all international students, who often leave with lifelong memories only a city and university like Salford can offer.

“Choosing Salford, Greater Manchester, as a place to live and study has been a wonderful experience,” says Benjamin Junior Oghumu, an MSc Public Health student. “Firstly, cultural diversity makes life easier for international students like me. Everything you need is always just around the corner. Manchester also hosts two of the biggest football clubs in England, Manchester United and Manchester City, and I have been to both stadiums. This is another reason for choosing Manchester for my studies.”

There’s another huge advantage in choosing the University of Salford: it’s close to one of the UK’s most exciting business and digital hubs. The large economy means there is no shortage of professional opportunities – part-time work, internships, placements, and full-time positions are readily available. You won’t be alone either – you’ll have lifelong access to Salford’s exclusive benefits and services as an alum, which include continued use of the library, careers services, and more.
