MSc Finance with Data Science

This programme uniquely integrates the foundational principles of finance with advanced data analysis techniques, equipping students to make informed, data-driven decisions. It explores critical financial topics, including the economics of financial markets, capital structure decisions, and investment strategies, while introducing financial econometrics and data analysis using the Python programming language.

The MSc’s strong industry links bring leading industry experts to the Corporate Speaker Series, featuring insights on contemporary market trends and career trajectories. UCL’s alumni networking events and UCL’s partnership with the CQF Institute further enrich the academic experience, offering invaluable resources, workshops, and networking opportunities.

MSc Marketing Science

As the marketing industry relies more on digital tools and data-driven decision-making, this programme aims to nurture professionals who are both creatively inclined and analytically adept.

The curriculum spans three terms, starting with fundamental skills in statistical modelling, marketing principles, and programming. The second term focuses on strategic skills, including economics, marketing strategy, and machine learning, with options to specialise in pricing, data management, or risk analysis. The final term involves a business project that provides industry experience and further specialisation in digital marketing.

Each module features lectures, workshops, and practical sessions – all of which are led by faculty members with expertise in quantitative marketing and experience with leading firms.

Modules cover critical contemporary topics such as sustainable work design, organisational and job design, data visualisation, and inclusive leadership, ensuring that graduates possess the most relevant knowledge for effective leadership in today’s dynamic organisations. Practitioner-led boot camps on analytics, HR, and leadership are conducted throughout to enhance practical learning.

MSc Strategic Accounting and Finance (online)

Using a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) to provide engaging resources, this online MSc will empower students to apply financial concepts and synthesise analytical data – preparing them to give strategic advice in diverse scenarios and lead with purpose beyond financial objectives. Key skills developed include financial analysis, understanding behavioural finance, managing risks, and mastering influence and negotiation.

The curriculum culminates in a Strategic Financial Project, where students apply their knowledge to a real-world scenario, supported by mentorship. Each module spans 10 weeks and combines asynchronous learning with live seminars, fostering collaboration and meaningful peer connections. Several immersion weeks featuring talks and sessions with industry leaders also do wonders in building networks.
