When it comes to taking up an MBA, the location of the university can make all the difference.
Several course programmes are incorporating experiential learning opportunities, offering students the chance to do internships, network and pursue real-world projects with top firms and companies.
If you study for your MBA in a thriving city with a diverse business environment, there are higher chances of you landing an internship or gaining work experience, especially in an area you are particularly interested in.
Through these work experiences, you can make great contacts for an entrepreneurial project in the future, or when you are looking for a job after graduation.
When it comes to dynamic locations for business students, New York City needs no introduction. As an economic hub full of budding entrepreneurs and start-ups, the Big Apple sure is an exciting city to be studying for an MBA.
New York city is home to several large companies such as IBM, PepsiCo, Verizon, Citi, Dior, ABM Industries, and more.
But the city is not the only place in New York state to embark on a solid business career, as several other cities such as Syracuse, Utica and Albany are also strong financial hubs.
According to Yahoo Finance, “There is no question that the financial capital of the US hails from New York State. Professionals and students alike, flock to the area to experience the lively culture and business opportunities. With countless business offices in the state, the leading business professionals are continually pushing boundaries and are at the forefront of enterprise.”
While location matters to a certain degree, the growth of online programmes means you can still reap the benefits by studying online.
