Are you between the ages of 16 and 25 and travel a lot by train?
For £30 per year, you can get a 16-25 Railcard which gives you 1/3 off rail fares to travel across Britain.
“Your 16-25 Railcard gets you 1/3 off Standard Anytime and Off-Peak fares, as well as Standard Advance and First Class Advance fares. And because there’s no limit to the number of times you can use your Railcard, the potential for adventure is huge,” notes the website.
Alternatively, you can get a three-year Railcard, which costs just £70, saving you £20 on the price of three one-year Railcards.

International Student Identity Card (ISIC)

ISIC is an internationally-recognised card that enables you to get a discount on a range of things, including entertainment, food, clothes and travel. It’s valid for one year from the date of issue.
The cost of the card varies, but starts from US$20.
According to the website, you’re eligible for a card if:
- You are a full-time student at a school, college or university
- Are age 12 or over
- You’re enrolled for the current academic year at an accredited institution and matriculating towards a diploma or degree

Are 18 or over and a student living in a London borough during term-time? You may be eligible for the 18+ Student Oyster card.
The card, which offers 30 percent off adult-rate travelcards and bus and tram pass season tickets, costs £20 (administration fee). The card will expire when your course ends.
