David Harbour, known for starring as Jim Hopper in the Netflix series Stranger Things, has been shown sporting pom-poms, a school hoodie and a trombone for one lucky student’s senior high school yearbook photos.
Damaris Fregoso, a student from Orestimba High School in Newman, California, tweeted at Harbour back in October asking how many retweets she needed for him to agree to appear in her yearbook.
.@DavidKHarbour how many retweets for you take my senior photos with me

Orestimba students were allowed to pick their own portrait for the yearbook, so long as it didn’t show “too much skin”, “inappropriate words or graphics on clothing”, “gang affiliated clothing or gestures”, or “’selfies’ or bathroom mirror pictures”.
To Fregoso’s surprise, Harbour responded: “25k. And I get to wear the school sweatshirt and hold a trombone.”

The request was spurred along by Harbour’s co-star Noah Schapp, who plays Will Byers in Stranger Things.

Last week, Fregoso’s dream came true. “David is such a sweet dude!” she wrote on Instagram. “Even my 5-month-old nephew got in on the action.”

“Voted most likely to hijack someone’s high school senior photos 24 years later,” Harbour wrote on his own Instagram account.

I don’t always take senoir portraits, but when I do, it’s because @postydamaris gets 25k+ retweets and @DavidKHarbour agrees to take them with her as long as he is allowed to hold a trombone. 😂 pic.twitter.com/XTmYjrvm9r

Orestimba High, it seems, was proud of their student.
