Through digital education and distance learning courses, universities around the world are upgrading their curricula to suit the needs of online learners.
Outlined in the Best Colleges 2019 Online Education Trends Report, online education continues to gain popularity.
“Why do students choose to learn online rather than on campus? For the third year in a row, the convenience and flexibility offered by online programmes topped the list of reasons. More than half (59 percent) of students surveyed have children, and half reported that they are employed.
“Students shared additional reasons for choosing an online format, which included a range of transportation issues, challenges related to having a disability, and a desire to attend a course or programme that was only offered online,” says the report.
So, if you’re an aspiring online learner who wants to opt for the virtual learning path, see if you can link these online education terms with their definition.
