Pickering College provides its students with a values-based education which aids the advancement of their confidence, knowledge, skills and social conscience prior to their entry into Higher Education and all that lies beyond.

Co-curricular development

Offering those enrolled the opportunity to discover their potential by developing skills and talents beyond the classroom, the school’s extensive co-curricular programme allows students to grow both intellectually and personally. As each individual broadens their interests and areas of expertise, the programme supports their acquisition of new skills by providing outlets for creativity, self-expression, athleticism and skill-sharing. Options include team sports, figure skating, equestrian activities, music, mountain-biking and radio broadcasting at the school’s unique radio station.

Global Leadership Programme

Pickering College recently introduced its Global Leadership Programme, which has been carefully designed to build on the school’s longstanding mission and service-orientated approach to education. Main focal points of the Programme include collaboration, communication, creativity and critical thinking, all of which are integral to success within industry across the globe; students are encouraged to become agents of courageous, ethical and positive change.

Graduate opportunities

ESL Summer camp

Among the exciting extra-curricular activities available at Pickering College is the unique residential ESL summer camp. Designed for students aged between 12 and 18 years who wish to develop their English language skills and experience Canada in summer, the camp offers numerous academic, athletic, culinary and facilities and events; attendees’ time is divided between classroom-based activities during the day and escorted recreational activities at weekends. Students benefit from small classes of between 12 and 15 students per teacher.
