No two children are the same. Some learn best through books, others through play. Some are outgoing, while others take time to open up. Yet, despite their differences, all children need a caring and supportive environment where they can feel safe to grow.
That was exactly what Nicholle Anderson hoped to find for her son, Levi. “When we first started looking for schools, we wanted a place that would provide stability and consistency,” she recalls. “Our family was going through a very difficult time as I was battling cancer, and my husband was working. It was important for us to place him into an environment that was loving, nurturing, and encouraging, especially being three years old.”
They found just that at North Broward Preparatory School (NBPS), a private, international day and boarding school in South Florida. Here, every student receives the opportunities, support, and inspiration they need to succeed.

Study without limits
At NBPS, learning is an adventure filled with experiences that stay with your child for life. One day, students might be experimenting in the STEAM lab or performing on stage, and the next, they could be competing at state or national levels, or exploring Florida’s rich wildlife.
Whatever their interest, each experience helps them grow, gain confidence, and discover what they love most. And because NBPS is part of Nord Anglia Education, your child is connected with leading institutions in creativity, science, and social impact.
The Juilliard School, for example, is where creativity takes flight. Whether it’s dance, drama, or music, they’ll learn to express themselves and appreciate the beauty of diverse cultures and art forms through world-leading teaching. Want to take their talents even further? Aspiring performers can join the Summer Performing Arts with Juilliard programmes in Switzerland, China, and the US, where they’ll train with other passionate young artists.
The MIT-Nord Anglia STEAM programme is where science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics connect to solve real-world problems. Together with their classmates, young students take on the same kinds of challenges MIT professors and researchers are working on.
If your child likes being active, they can train like a professional athlete at IMG Academy’s state-of-the-art campus. Every year, Nord Anglia students join weeklong events where they learn from top coaches in soccer, volleyball, basketball, and more. What’s more, with IMG Academy+ Essentials, they can keep improving their game through expert-led courses in mental resilience, nutrition, and peak performance strategies.
Meanwhile, in partnership with UNICEF, NBPS brings the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to initiatives like the Social Impact Programme and the annual Global Challenge. Some students take their learning to the UN’s High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) in New York City too. They meet government leaders, join workshops, and experience the once-in-a-lifetime honour of speaking at the UN’s headquarters.

A world-class education with a family feel
There’s another benefit to being a Nord Anglia school: the chance to choose either the International Baccalaureate (IB) or the Advanced Placement (AP) curriculum. In every class, teachers use data to guide each student’s growth.
“We entered the Pre-Kindergarten programme and Mrs. Rosenberg and Ms. Gelfand were heaven sent. These two wonderful teachers made the first two years incredible, wanting us to stay in a community that felt like family,” says Anderson.
After watching Levi thrive in his Mandarin, theatre, piano, violin, voice, and STEAM classes, she decided to enrol her other son, Jake, too. “It was very comforting when a teacher just gets your child. Every teacher has gone above and beyond over the years zeroing in on things both boys needed. Our whole elementary school experience has been phenomenal.”
Parent Association President Brittany Tuber shares the same pride. “We’ve been especially impressed by how much emphasis is placed on social-emotional learning, which has made a real difference in how our children relate to others and express themselves,” she says.
What she loves most, though, is the community. “Our kids are excited to go to school every day, and as parents, we feel deeply connected and involved in the numerous events that the NBPA puts on. This school has truly become an extension of our family — and we are so grateful,” she adds.
With dedicated teachers, a nurturing community, and academic outcomes that include a 100% IB Diploma pass rate and 60% AP pass rate), NBPS creates well-rounded learners ready to take on the world.
“As a parent of three children in the Lower School for the last five years, I truly couldn’t ask for a more nurturing and inspiring environment for them to grow,” says Tuber. “Each of our kids is so different in personality, learning style, and interests — and yet, they all feel equally seen, supported, and challenged here.”
