Graduation is a special day no matter what, but celebrating it with a singer from popular K-pop group Twice made it even more memorable for students at one school in South Korea.

Among the students graduating from Segok Middle School in Seoul, South Korea was Seo Yeon – the younger sister of Twice’s Jihyo – according to AllKPop.

Twice became the first Korean girl group to gain platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of Japan in 2017.

They have had six number one singles in South Korea, while their debut album Twicetagram also topped the charts in Korea as well as reaching number one in the United States world albums chart.

Jihyo’s unexpected appearance reportedly caused a lot of excitement among the students. Fans got selfies and group pictures with the star, who was there to support her sister.

Last March, Jihyo took a short break from performing with Twice after injuring her knee, reported AllKPop.

“We ask fans to understand as the decision was putting her health top and foremost. We will do our best as a label to help her recovery quickly,” said a spokesperson for JYP Entertainment, the group’s record label.
