Money isn’t everything but it does make the world go round.

So much so that young people are willing to build their entire future around getting one of the highest paid jobs in the world.

We all want to be like former Manchester City boss Robert Mancini who netted a four-year deal worth 77 million pounds (approximately US$99.88 million at the time of writing) to coach the Saudi Arabia national team.

Or like K-pop princess Jisoo of Blackpink, whose net worth is reportedly US$20 million.

More than half of recent graduates picked their degree and career based on the earning potential it would give them, one study found.

In the US, someone with a bachelor’s degree earns an average starting salary of US$47,349 per year.

This is nowhere near sports or music stars, though most graduates of most degree programmes can expect to build a stable, modest life.

But if you’re not into the long game and want to earn big bucks right out of university, there are some degrees that can land you some of the highest paid jobs in the world for fresh graduates.
