In the early months of the COVID-19 outbreak, Coursera made its full course catalogue available to every university that had to close down. As of June 1, Coursera free courses are available to all students of higher learning institutions around the world.

Any undergraduate, graduate or recently-graduated student can sign up to do any course for free.

According to Shravan Goli, Chief Product Officer of Coursera, over one million tertiary-level students are already turning to Coursera to continue their education in the pandemic.

“Nearly 70% of the world’s students remain impacted by campus closures due to the coronavirus. Among them are hundreds of millions of students in colleges and universities around the world. While on-campus education is interrupted, learning must continue,” Goli wrote in a statement.
