If you’ve been keeping up with the latest goss, you’d know that the Beckham family is making headlines once again — but this time, it’s not for a fashion campaign, football match, or new “tell-all” docuseries on Netflix.

Eldest son Brooklyn Beckham‘s recent public statements about his family have thrust the famous clan of six — David, Victoria, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper — back into the spotlight. With that, many may be wondering about the paths that led each Beckham child to where they are today. We certainly are.

Specifically, we’re thinking about the educationof David and Victoria Beckham’s four children. With parents who are celebrities, it’s no surprise that they they’ve been enrolled in famed prep schools and international institutions, likely for both the prestigious education as well as privacy.

So, for students looking for the same, or just plain curious, here’s where the Beckhams went to school — complete with publicly listed tuition figures.

Brooklyn Beckham: From prep to Parsons

Man of the hour Brooklyn Beckham (born in 1999) is the eldest of the Beckham children, and his educational path arguably best reflects the family’s globe-trotting lifestyle.

Brooklyn grew up in two continents: Europe and North America. During the family’s time in Los Angeles (2007-2013), when David played for LA Galaxy, Brooklyn attended two prestigious California private schools:

Curtis School is an independent elementary school in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles, serving students from Pre-K through 6th grade. Brooklyn attended Curtis for a couple of years.

Curtis School’s tuition is approximately US$34,568-38,021 annually depending on grade level. The school is known for its child-centred approach to education and has approximately 494 students.

Brooklyn later moved to The Willows Community School in Culver City, a Developmental Kindergarten (DK) through 8th grade independent school where Brooklyn attended junior high.

Tuition here, as of 2025-2026, ranges from US$36,025 for DK to US$46,905 for grades 6-8

When Brooklyn attended these schools in the early 2010s, costs would have been somewhat lower but still substantial.

After the family returned to London in 2013, it’s unclear where Brooklyn studied, but Victoria and David were seen touring schools such as Harrodian school in Barnes. The King Alfred school. These schools, at the time, charged 6,000 pounds per term and4,600 pounds per term respectively (around US$8,064 and US$6,183 by today’s conversion rate), according to an article by The Standard

At age 18, Brooklyn enrolled at Parsons School of Design in New York City to study photography, joining one of the world’s most renowned art and design institutions. But his time there was brief, and his reason for leaving was “homesickness.

The tuition at Parsons currently (2024-2025) has risen to approximately US$57,978 annually, not including fees, housing, books, or living expenses in New York City.

Romeo Beckham: The great British boarding schools

Romeo Beckham (born in 2002) followed a more traditional British private school path, attending multiple elite institutions. This included:

  • Brentwood School in Essex
  • Wetherby School in London
  • Millfield School in Street, Somerset

Wetherby School in London is the famous exclusive institution that educated the likes of Prince William and Prince Harry.

For the 2025-2026 academic year, Wetherby School fees stand at 10,990 pounds per term (approximately US$13,800), making it roughly US$41,400 annually. The pre-preparatory school accepts boys aged four to eight years old and has built a reputation as one of London’s most prestigious institutions

But it was Millfield School that became Romeo’s longest educational home. This co-educational independent boarding and day school is particularly renowned for its sports programmes, known to produce Olympic athletes and top professionals across many sports.

Here, school boarding fees reach nearly 50,000 pounds per year (over US$67,000). The school offers additional programmes in music, riding, and polo for extra fees.

Millfield has educated numerous famous alumni and maintains exceptional sports facilities, which aligned with Romeo’s early football aspirations. Both Romeo and his younger brother Cruz trained with the Arsenal Academy during their time at these schools, though neither continued with professional football careers.

Cruz Beckham: Following in Romeo’s footsteps

Cruz Beckham (born in 2005) attended similar schools to his brother Romeo:

  • Wetherby School in London
  • Millfield School in Street, Somerset

Cruz completed his high school education at Millfield School, where he also played on the school’s football team.

Harper Beckham: London’s finest girls’ schools

Harper Beckham (born in 2011) is the youngest Beckham child and only daughter. As of 2025, she is 13 years old and attends Glendower Preparatory School in South Kensington, London.

This prestigious all-girls school educates approximately 270 students from nursery through Year 6 (age 11). The school is known for its academic rigour.

The tuition is 10,428 pounds per term (approximately US$13,100) for the 2025-2026 academic year, making it roughly US$39,300 annually. Fees include VAT and lunches.

Notable features of Glendower include:

  • Academically selective admissions
  • Only 36 places available at around four+ admission each year
  • Girls start coding in Reception and Mandarin from Year 4
  • Founded in 1895 with a cohort of around 270 girls
  • Also attended by the daughters of former UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak

Harper has also reportedly attended the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts for after-school programmes, following her interest in performing arts.

The cost of elite education

Over the years, David and Victoria have reportedly spent millions on private education for their children.

Victoria herself once joked on Instagram during a family holiday: “@davidbeckham How much did we pay for private education? X”

For David and Victoria themselves, they went to relatively “normal” schools, with the exception of Victoria attending the Laine Theatre Arts in Epsom, UK, for dance and performing arts training.  Accoding to an article, Laine Theatre Arts charged around 13,250 pounds per year plus VAT (around US$17,8023) in the early 2010s – though the exact amount Victoria paid isn’t public.

While it isn’t one of the most famous dance schools in the world, she said it did prepare her for success and fame with the Spice Girls.

Education as the ultimate status symbol

The Beckham family’s educational investments reveal a broader cultural shift: private education has become less about academics (although it still remains important), and more about signaling status, preserving privilege and securing access to exclusive networks.

One might argue that these factors are more important to those who cannot leverage their own celebrity.

To put the Beckham family’s educational spending in context: the average UK domestic family does not pay for primary and secondary education. As for university, local students pays 9,535 pounds per year for university, while international students pay 11,750 to 70,000 pounds annually.

In the US, public high schools are also free for domestic students. The average in-state university student pays US$11,950 annually for tuition and fees, while out-of-state students pay US$31,880.

But keep in mind that not all celebrities approach education exactly the way the Beckhams do. Another famous celebrity family in the UK is the Ramsays. As in, Gordon Ramsay, the notorious hot-tempered chef known from shows like “Masterchef” and “Hell’s Kitchen.”

Gordon and Tana Ramsay’s children attended more local private day schools, with daughter Tilly having attended Ibstock Place School in Roehampton, southwest London. WIth tuition at 8,316 pounds per year (about US$11,147), it’s still a private institution, but far more modest than the Beckham’s choices.

That said, Tilly later pursued a psychology degree at the University of Nottingham (a respected Russell Group university), then reportedly paid for her own culinary education at Ireland’s Ballymaloe Cookery School in 2024. A 12-week course there is 17,150 euros (around US$20,099).

While these aren’t the most expensive choices, they are certainly still notable education brands within their own fields.

And you know what they say: Your network is your net worth. It’s no surprise famous parents may want to curate your network, because who you surround yourself with will definitely affect your own life.
