It’s 2026 and, yes, we still don’t have the mind‑blowing tech Seo Mi-rae uses in new Netfilx hit series “Boyfriend on demand.”
There are no 800 virtual boyfriends, no dream mansion, and no designer wardrobe you can “buy” with exactly zero dollars.
Tragic.
But while the show gives us the ultimate fantasy world, there’s something that tore us away for a bit about the cast in real life: where and what they studied at university.
It matters that characters have whole lives, study struggles, exams, deadlines, and career troubles just like us.
Not to sound dramatic, but by knowing their origin stories, we can understand the ups and downs of life better.
Hear us out. For example, we can accept failures better by seeing that these stars rarely had a straight path to success. Some took leave, others switched fields.
Or we can see that there isn’t one perfect path into the show industry. Not everyone needs a specialist degree, like drama or performing arts, to become an actor or performer.
If these aren’t low-key comforting, we don’t know what else is.
So, if you want more insight into how these perfect-looking stars are more like us than you thought, here’s rundown of where and what the cast of “Boyfriend on Demand” studied at university:
