Located in a major economic, administrative and educational centre, the University of Fribourg's roots can be traced all the back to 1763. A fully bilingual school, they offer courses in both French and German, as well as English at postgraduate level. The university has five faculties: Catholic theology, law, natural sciences, humanities, and economics & social sciences.
