Advance your career with postgraduate programmes at Bloomsbury Institute

The business world is evolving at breakneck speed, making it essential — more than ever — for professionals to upskill themselves to remain competitive in the workforce. Whether you’re looking to climb the higher rungs of the career ladder,  switch careers or start your own ventures, a postgraduate degree can help with your career and widen your professional network.

If you seek to achieve all of this while earning an accredited degree and experiencing the perks and privileges of living in London, then Bloomsbury Institute is a great choice.

Nestled in central London’s academic and intellectual hub, Bloomsbury Institute’s business degree is ranked third in London for student satisfaction (NSS 2022) — and understandably so. Here, students undergo a transformative journey that nurtures, challenges, and empowers them, fostering their evolution into well-rounded individuals primed to enact positive global change.

How? Bloomsbury Institute’s committed faculty members transcend their roles as mere subject-matter experts; they also assume the roles of mentors, guides, and collaborators, displaying a profound dedication to the success of their students. This environment actively cultivates personal and intellectual growth, enabling each individual to realise their fullest potential.

Throughout their academic journey, students benefit from seamless access to the University of London’s expansive libraries and vibrant social spaces. Learners also have the opportunity to network with industry professionals and enhance their confidence. Just ask Gamar Abdien, who is pursuing BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance at Bloomsbury Institute.

“Bloomsbury is the place for building careers, building confidence and making your life easier. I really enjoyed the modules in Business Management – particularly ‘Business Analytics’ and ‘Project Management’ – they are really rich modules,” he says.

Advance your career with rigorous postgraduate programmes

The postgraduate programmes — MBA, MSc Management, MSc Accounting and Finance, and MSc Finance and Wealth Management — are designed to help students secure better job opportunities and promotions. They incorporate the skills and attributes that employers seek in modern workplaces. These programmes were developed in consultation with employers, who offered valuable insights into their specific needs.

Those who pursue MBA and MSc Management programmes at Bloomsbury  Institute stand a unique chance to gain a significant competitive edge. Upon graduation, you will be awarded a CMI Level 7 (Postgraduate) Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership Practice. This diploma not only boosts your academic qualifications but also positions you to apply for Chartered Manager status after accumulating three years of managerial experience. Securing this status represents the pinnacle of achievement within the management and leadership profession.

For those interested in gaining admission to any of these postgraduate degrees, you should hold an undergraduate degree in any field for the MBA and MSc Management programmes or a relevant field for the MSc Accounting and Finance. However, a degree in Accounting or Finance is not a prerequisite for applying to the MSc Finance and Wealth Management programme. Prospective students with degrees showcasing strong quantitative skills can apply. Most importantly, students are required to fulfil English Language requirements, if necessary.

The tuition fee for the MBA and MSc Management is 15,000 pounds. For the MSc Accounting and Finance, as well as the MSc Finance and Wealth Management programmes, the standard tuition is 16,500 pounds. However, all applicants from Africa are eligible for a dedicated 1,500 pounds scholarship for these two degrees, meaning you only need to pay an adjusted tuition fee of 15,000 pounds.

The best part? Upon the successful completion of their respective programmes, students will receive a “success scholarship” valued at 1,000 pounds. This financial award can be applied towards covering the costs associated with the two-year Graduate Visa, an option available to those intending to pursue work opportunities within the UK after graduating.

The best London has to offer

Students won’t be alone in their Bloomsbury Institute journey as Personal Tutors will guide them. This way, students receive guidance and support in a less formal setting than in the classroom. Personal Tutoring includes group and one-to-one sessions where students discuss courses, share experiences, raise issues, ask questions and seek pastoral assistance.

Students benefit from tailored career services too. Whether you have years of work experience or are a recent graduate, the team takes into account your particular situation and aims to cater to your specific needs and career goals. Rajan Sandhu, MSc Business Management agrees.

“There is so much support available to you. Help with stress and anxiety, help with assignments, financial support. There is someone for everything,” Sandhu says.

Bloomsbury Institute’s central location in London’s West End is ideal for exploring the capital. Situated near Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Circus, it’s a brief walk to Soho and Covent Garden. The area offers abundant shopping, diverse dining, vibrant nightlife, and peaceful getaways in nearby parks like Russell Square, Regent’s Park, and Hyde Park. There’s a seemingly endless roster of world-class parks, food, bars, theatres, museums, art galleries, and history to explore — even within close reach of campus.

A historic area in central London, Bloomsbury boasts deep links with art, culture and education. It’s perhaps best known for The Bloomsbury Group, a group of radical and progressive artists led by Virginia Woolf, who was based here and influenced by the area. This was the previous stomping ground of John Maynard Keynes, an English economist who revolutionised economic theories, as well. Fast forward to 2023, and Bloomsbury has evolved to become a hub of many world-famous museums and educational institutions. Students are surrounded by prestigious institutions such as Birkbeck College, the Royal Veterinary College, University College London, the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), and of course, Bloomsbury Institute.
