Online MBA programmes were popular even before the COVID-19 crisis. Since the pandemic, the Online MBA has become even more appealing. As many full-time MBA programmes moved online, students who may not have considered studying online suddenly saw the benefits. A survey found that just over a fifth of students was more likely to consider online learning as a result of COVID-19.

“The fear factor is gone. More people know from their own experiences that they work, learn, and collaborate online, and that it’s possible to create, build relationships and network online,” says Amy Foster, programme director of the Online MBA at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.

You may want or require new hard talents, such as digital marketing, as well as softer talents, such as leadership or management. You might want to expand your professional network, signal your qualifications for the rest of your career, learn about and possibly switch careers, or advance in your existing position. Maybe you want to start a business or experiment with it. All of this may be accomplished through an online MBA programme.

Here are three business schools offering 100% online MBA programmes in the US:

USC Marshall: School of Business

USC Marshall’s Online Master of Business Administration prepares students for a long and successful career as an agile leader in a world driven by innovation and technological advancements. Here, students learn through engaging video content produced at the USC Marshall in-house studio, and weekly, live class sessions conducted via webcam.

Students graduate and become forward-thinking business leaders who can analyse a situation from diverse perspectives and create effective, practical solutions. How is this achieved? Through pairing virtual tools with a comprehensive curriculum. The programme uses a “flipped classroom” approach. Each week students complete content such as pre-recorded videos, team projects, assignments, and discussion boards at their own pace. Then, they meet as a class in two weekly live online class sessions.
