In Tweets: How students are reacting to Trump’s executive orders

Last week, U.S. President Donald Trump signed a series of immigration-related executive orders that resulted in a week of uncertainty and chaos in the United States of America. Here’s what happened in brief:

• Wednesday: Trump moved ahead with his long-promised wall on the Mexican border via executive order. He also ordered to slash federal funding from “sanctuary” states and cities that harbor illegal immigrants.

Mexico has taken advantage of the U.S. for long enough. Massive trade deficits & little help on the very weak border must change, NOW!

• Friday: Trump issued an executive order that temporarily barred travelers from Syria, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen, all Muslim-majority countries. Chaos and protests ensued.
• Saturday: The Department of Homeland Security said the ban extended to travelers holding green cards, legal permanent residents of the United States. The department later rolled back the ban on green card holders the next day.

Our country needs strong borders and extreme vetting, NOW. Look what is happening all over Europe and, indeed, the world – a horrible mess!

If the ban were announced with a one week notice, the "bad" would rush into our country during that week. A lot of bad "dudes" out there!
