History and … Public Health? The surprising education of the cast of ‘Scream 7’

The cast of the “Scream 7” film may spend most of the film trying to survive Ghostface, but before the screams and suspense, many of them were busy surviving something — school.

Before stepping into Scwam, many of the cast members were busy studying at schools, universities, and acting programmes. Even we at Study International were surprised by their academic journey.

Matthew Lillard did not pursue the traditional route of attending university; however, he briefly attended Fullerton College and two acting schools: the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena and Circle in the Square Theatre School in New York City.

Like Lillard, Neve Campbell did not attend university. She trained at the prestigious National Ballet School of Canada from the ages of nine to 14, but pivoted to acting due to injuries and burnout. Campbell then attended Earl Haig Secondary School in Toronto and John F. Ross Collegiate Vocational Institute in Guelph.

Like her castmates above, Isabel May did not pursue higher education. To accommodate auditions and filming, May moved to online school in 10th grade.
