What makes Lindner stand out from other business schools is its distinctive combination of academic and hands-on experiences. The University of Cincinnati founded co-op, or cooperative education, in which students alternate their studies with periods of professional work experience. Lindner is proud to continue this tradition as the nation’s leading co-op business school. More than 1,000 co-ops were completed by 821 students throughout the 2023-24 academic year.
While Lindner’s graduate programmes do not all offer a co-op program, experiential learning is embedded in graduate curriculum. Hands-on projects are integrated into courses to sharpen not only your technical expertise but also your soft skills, such as effective communication and critical thinking. Working with top international companies – such as Procter & Gamble, Nestlé, Kroger, Cintas Western & Southern Financial Group, and GE Aerospace – will train you to meet industry standards and give you a head start to your future career. Graduate international students leverage OPT, giving them up to three years of practical training in the U.S.
“It opened a gateway to understanding how corporate America works. And also, how to deal with clients, and how to communicate,” graduate Shehnaz Shake, MS ’24, says. “It is much more collaborative, and companies are very clear cut on what they need and what the expectations are while giving you the freedom to work through things on your own.”
