So, you’re a high school student at the crossroads to your future.

Graduation is approaching, university applications are piling up, and you’re wracked by anxiety because you’re unsure of your next steps. The weight of the future looms on your shoulders, ominous and uncertain, and you’re afraid of making the wrong decision.

Now, before you spiral into the depths of decision fatigue – just know that you’re not alone. A YouScience survey conducted between 2019 and 2022 found that 75% of high school graduates felt moderately, slightly, or not at all prepared for college and their career. In another survey, 52% of 1,000 high school students felt pressured to decide on their future.

Here’s where Study International comes in. We know best that trying to find your dream degree is a daunting task. Choosing a field you’d enjoy working in for the rest of your life? At 17- or 18-years-old, that seems impossible.

That’s why we’re here to help – all it takes is watching a free webinar on your phone or laptop.

How to find your dream degree

Finding the answer to what degree you should pursue doesn’t have to start with a blank sheet of paper. In Study International’s “How to find your dream degree” webinar, our hosts Lee Lian Kong and Sheng Ping Sooi highlight specific strategies to navigate your decision.

Kong, our Senior Education Editor, studied abroad in the UK and the US, and she’s imparting her wisdom as someone who’d pivoted from law to a writing career. Sooi, on the other hand, is our China Media Specialist. She completed her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Taiwan, and even took a semester of exchange in Thailand.

They’ve broken down the process of finding your dream degree in three easy-to-digest sections.

    • How to identify your passions and skills, including methods to connect with college students today.
    • How to use the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), a personality test, to choose a field of study.
    • How to pivot from one degree to another if you change your mind.
