The Business School’s programmes are also accredited by numerous professional bodies to ensure students enjoy programmes that are at the highest professional standards. The school recently designed its LLB degree to prepare students for the new Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE), a new centralised exam for solicitors that’s scheduled for 2021.

Prospective undergraduate students can choose from nine law programmes, including the LLB (Hons) Law and BA (Hons) Business and Law. There are nine additional programmes for postgraduate students to choose from, such as the LLM (Law), LLM (Common Professional Examination) and the LLM CPE by Distance Learning.

This includes the Legal Advice Centre, where students, supervised by their lecturers or practising lawyers from local firms, provide free legal advice for the local community.

American international student Cody Pennington, who is pursuing the LLB (Hons) Law programme, spoke highly of his experience at the institution. The military veteran who served the US Air Force said: “Wolverhampton was a school that stood out to me. They had a January start, which a lot of schools in the area do not have for the law programmes.

“The LLB (Hons) Law is very intensive, but I enjoy a challenge. Support for the law programme has been amazing and my tutors have been incredibly helpful,” Pennington adds.
