While the MS in Computer Science offers both on-campus and online options, the university’s Master of Research (MRes) in Artificial Intelligence is only offered virtually. Launched in March 2024, the Centre will also serve as a hub for students with big ideas — much like the kind Dr. Hassan frequently nurtures in his Advanced Machine Learning class. For instance, one student developed a sign language recognition application, and another group used AI to stitch together various images taken by a drone flying over the campus to create a larger composite image.
