The demand for quality student dorms is increasing around the world, with prospective and current students desiring plenty more bang for their buck.

Universities have to compete with private student accommodation companies who offer premium fully-furnished housing and added facilities for students like private gyms, pools and lounge areas.

The US is no exception. Here are some amazing student housing experiences offered by universities across the nation, all of which go beyond the traditional dorm setting:

The stunning Hub at Tucson is student dorm living at its finest. The fully-equipped kitchens are fitted with branded applicances like Keurig, walk-in-closets, and a washer and dryer. The bedrooms and living rooms are equally spectacular, and some units even comig with their own private hot tub, porch, or balcony.

The facilities at the Hub are nothing short of amazing with gaming, fitness and meeting rooms, a rooftop infinity pool, spa with sauna, steam room, hot tub and tanning beds. Plus, there’s a 22-foot LED TV in the lounge, a gazebo for grilling, hammocks and a sand volleyball court with stadium seating.

Junior and Senior students above the age of 21 can apply to stay at the urban Calhoun Lofts. The units are outfitted with 10-foot ceilings, granite countertops, exposed concrete ceilings and floors, with have stunning views of downtown.

Students who live here have plenty to do with their free time as there’s a range of facilities on deck, such as study lounges, a theatre room, two roof terraces, a sky lounge, fitness center, a retail space with a courtyard, a computer lab and a pool table.

For dining and groceries, there’s a Cougar Xpress market and Subway restaurant downstairs.

These student dorms look more like swanky hotels, with a 24-hour doorman, two hydro-massage spas, a fitness center, landscapes garden, a recreation room with a large TV for movie-viewing and a luxurious pool.

There’s also an on-site study room with four drafting tables and sewing room with dress forms, specifically-catering to fashion students.

Each fully-furnished unit is elegantly and tastefully designed, all with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The cost includes the rent, basic cable, utilities and internet access.

Students can enjoy a wide range of outdoor activites when they stay at North Lake Village, as these student dorms are located on an 80-acre lake.

Each four-person furnished apartment includes a full kitchen, living room and two bathrooms. The on-site amenities for students include a quiet study room, an uspcale living room and foyer, private jacuzzis, a gourmet cafe, a large pool and sundeck.
